I am a person who tends to stand up for myself and complain of I feel I've been wronged. Problem with this is that I end up getting in trouble. Example, I have moved 6x in 3 years as the places I've lived in at either illegal, or the landlord's are reprehensible, So I end up leaving.

I just moved into another rental but chose a COOP as it seemed to be run by responsible individuals. Unfortunately I was wrong. From day one I encountered problem after problem. The worst being my appliances did not work. I was left without a fridge for over a month. So when it came time to pay my rent, I refused as I had waisted so much food and money replacing it, that I couldn't and truly felt they needed to step up and reimburse me for the trouble I went through and the stress. Only now, the board wants to meet with me and discuss the situation of me refusing to pay my rent
I'm thinking, I didn't do anything wrong and I shouldn't have to sit with a bunch of people who will most likely bully me. I know they are going to turn this around some how making it my fault.
I am totally freaking out over this and know that although I'm right, I'm not going to be able to defend myself and will most likely break down, start to weep and make myself look like an idiot and weak. What should I do?
