Facebook Team Leader: Maaike Dumont (Belgium) Maaike is a 26-year old freelance translator living in Belgium, with a background in cultural studies and philosophy. Motivated by her own struggles with ADHD, she wants to help better the lives of people suffering from mental health conditions by creating more awareness and openness around the topic. Besides helping out on Conquer Worry, she’s also working as a volunteer coach for “Youth At Risk”, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged youth through persistent and compassionate mentoring. Leisure; I've been a legger on a round the world yacht race, sailing from Cape Town to Boston, USA, that was a dream come true and an extremely memorable experience! Oldest memory; walking up the road leading a thoroughbred mare when I was about two and thinking her hooves were huge. It was a sunny day! |
